 12月26日午前8時30分（日本時間）インドネシアスマトラ島沖で発生しました地震による被害状況に関してご案内させていただきます。
タイ・プーケット、ピピ島におきましては甚大な被害が出ている模様です。

前回のご案内済みの情報と概ね同じ内容のものとなっています。
インドネシアの5箇所のアマンリゾートでは、被害の確認はまったくされていません。
プーケット島のアマンプリにおきましては、ビーチエリアの損傷のみで、各ヴィラは通常通りの状態となっています。
ビーチエリアの閉鎖も解除されています。
プーケット島自体におきましても、西部の海岸線のみに津波の影響が出ただけで、島のほとんどの地域は平常通りとなっています。

インドネシアの５箇所のアマンは、震源地からかなりの距離がはなれていることと、津波の通過地域とは反対側となっていたため、全く影響が出ていない模様です。
プーケット島のアマンプリでは、全てのゲスト、スタッフともに怪我を負った人もなく、リゾートの一部、ビーチジムが破損したのみの被害です。また、現在クルージング部門はまだ再開していない模様です。それ以外は、通常通りゲストの受け入れを行っており、交通にも支障はないとのことです。
最後に、2005年にオープン予定のスリランカにおける２つのアマンに関してですが、ビーチリゾートのアマンウェラのみにおきまして一部破損があり、修復中とのことです。しかしながら、予定通り１月、２月のオープンの予定に変更はない見込みとのことです。

【バンコク】
地震の揺れは観測されましたが、交通機関、観光地での影響はまったくございません。
【クラビ】
クラビにおきましても午前10時30分ごろ津波が押し寄せました。メインストリートのアオナン通り沿いのホテル、ショップ、レストランに被害が出ており閉鎖している模様です。
【サムイ島】
大きな被害がでたプーケット島とはマレー半島を挟んで反対側に位置するため、今回の地震、津波による被害はまったくありませんでした。各ホテル、交通機関も通常通りとなっています。

【パトンビーチ】
パトンビーチ沿いのリゾートホテルは全て津波の影響により通常営業が出来ない状況となっています。パトンビーチ以外のエリアにあるホテルは確認が必要となります。
尚、プーケット国際空港の一時閉鎖は解除され、航空便の離発着も通常通りとなっています。
【アマンプリ】
ホテル前のビーチに大きな津波は押し寄せましたが、ホテル自体への影響はまったくなく、通常通り営業されています。ただし当面の間、ビーチは閉鎖される見通しです。

各リゾートで津波による被害が出ています。被害状況はホテルによって異なるために確認が必要です。尚、国際線の発着空港であるマーレ空港は27日午前6:00まで閉鎖となっています。

News Update from Amanresorts
- Asia Disaster
In our continuing efforts to keep you informed
please find below answers to many questions
we have received over the past 24 hours.
AMANRESORTS IN INDONESIA
- Amanusa, Amandari, Amankila, Amanjiwo, Amanwana
What is the situation in Bali?
There is the perception that the earthquake
affected Bali, Central Java and other islands
far from Aceh. Some have even asked if it
has affected Singapore. All these areas have
had absolutely no impact from the earthquake
and tsunamis. As the earthquake originated
at the northern tip of the Indonesian island
of Sumatra near Banda Aceh, we are not able
to receive any additional information.
AMANRESORTS IN THAILAND
- Amanpuri
How much of Phuket was damaged?
Some have the perception that the island was
completely wiped out. This is not the case.
The tsunamis have affected only coastal areas
on the western side of the island however
some bays are more affected than others. The
water did not go as far inland as other countries
such as Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka.
What is the extent of damage to the
resort physically?
The resort and villas were untouched by the
tsunamis - other than the beach gym and beach
furniture. The resort is fully operational
with the gym equipment now operating out of
the Aman Spa. Aman Cruises is now back in
operation. No vessels were damaged as they
were all out at sea when the tsunamis struck.
Is the beach gone?
No, the beach has all its sand as before the
tsunamis and the sea is calm and clear. The
swimming pontoon was not damaged at all. The
beach is open and debris has been cleared
on the beach in front of Amanpuri.
Were the beach steps washed away?
No, the steps are completely intact and did
not suffer any damage.
Are the roads blocked?
No, all roads are open and there is no delay
in distribution of food supplies and water.
Why can't the resort be reached by phone?
The international telephone lines on the island
are tied up with calls from all over the world
so this has made it difficult to get calls
through. There is no damage to the telephone
system at the resort and over the next few
days this will improve.
Has there been loss of life at Amanpuri?
We are most fortunate in that no guests or
staff were lost or injured. However, the staff
have lost relatives, homes and belongings.
Amanpuri has set up a fund to provide assistance.
Amanpuri has also sent food and supplies to
the local hospital to assist the injured and
we are doing everything possible to support
the local community.
AMANRESORTS IN SRI
LANKA - Amangalla, Amanwella
Were the resorts damaged?
Amangalla in Galle Fort was untouched by the
tsunamis and in fact is providing assistance
and food to the local community. Our offices
and cars have been extended to the British
High Commission in Galle. Amanwella near Tangalle
had very little physical damage. All our management
staff are accounted for with no injuries.
However, we are still assessing the situation
in losses from staffing and construction workers.
Why do the phone lines not work?
The country's infrastructure is very badly
damaged and the restoration of telephone lines
is not a priority at this stage. Food, water,
shelter for the homeless urgently needs to
be addressed first and in order to facilitate
this, much of the efforts are focusing on
road access. This is also due to the fact
that many international calls are going through
the interchange at the same time.
Is the south accessible from Colombo?
From Colombo to Galle there is limited access.
The major road to the south is close to the
coast in many areas and therefore many sections
have been damaged. Inland roads between Galle
and Tangalle are the only routes open at this
time.
What can we do to help the country?
The country is in dire need of assistance
and donations. Food, water, medicine are all
urgently needed and Amanresorts is researching
organizations where donations can be sent
and will share this information in future
updates.

We
in Bali actually did not feel any earth quake
in Bali. I just knew this morning there is
an earth quake with Tsunami in Sumatra . I
can pretty sure that there is no such a vibration
in Bali due to earth quake in Sumatra and
no one talked about earth quake here. Please
let the guests know that there the earth quake
in Sumatra and other island did not reach
Bali.
